Queen Develops Math and Leadership Skills
posted February 3, 2012

Queen is an inner-city fourth-grade student who has been coming to TEAM-WORKS Academy for a few months. Queen loves the TEAM-WORKS staff members, and daily greets each one with a big wave and a hug while wearing a cheek-to-cheek smile on her face. She has reveled in the tutoring aspect of the TEAM-WORKS program, and often asks for homework assistance before the scheduled tutoring time. Queen has improved her math skills with the help of TEAM-WORKS tutors.
Queen has a very busy after-school schedule, but she has called her time spent in the TEAM-WORKS program as her “Power Hour.” She is an active participant in the program and rallies for her sister’s involvement as well. Queen is a leader among her peers. As a result of your generosity, she will continue to develop the leadership-skills she needs to be a positive role model, in addition to being a successful student!
